About This Story


This is the story of six band members, modern-day, on a world tour. The band members just so happen to be Slayers characters. Though I'm sure you figured that all out from the title and subtitle, yes?

So, uh, where did I get the idea for this?

I guess you could say it happened when I was listening to Led Zeppelin, Houses of the Holy (yay ^^), and Dancing Days came on, and I was struck with a vision: Zelgadis playing a guitar. ^_^

Okay, so, there's a picture in circulation of Zelgadis as a rock star, so I can't really say it was a COMPLETELY original vision, but at least it got me thinking! I realized most of the Slayers characters were either perfect as someone associated with a band, or had names that would be perfect puns. ^^ Lo and Behold, The Slayers: World Tour was born.

I parodied a few things from Slayers fanfics, like putting Japanese phrases in, having Beastmaster smoke, Xellos saying "That is a secret all the time," etc. And Filia hits people with her bass instead of her mace. Get it? XD

I've also been inspiried by Gourrigan's Island (a superwonderfulamazingfunny fanfic), hence the script and episode layout, and Almost Famous (a superwonderfulamazingfunny movie). I've had a blast writing it, so I hope you enjoy it! ^_^
